NexAI Tech operates Digital Tourists Guide, a travel audio guide. You can explore and listen without an account. This policy explains the information the service uses.

Location

We request location only after you choose My location or Start Drive. Coordinates are sent to our service and relevant mapping or places providers to return nearby results, plan routes, or identify stories ahead. Search works without permission. On supported native versions, background location is used only during an active Drive session. Stop Drive ends that session. We do not sell location data or build a saved location trail.

Search, listening, and diagnostics

We process search terms and requested place ids to provide results. A random device identifier supports the listening allowance when it is enabled and an aggregate count of active devices. It is not a device fingerprint. Listening reports count plays by place, language, platform and day; they do not include an account or device identifier.

Cloudflare provides hosting-edge protection and aggregate web analytics. Network services may process IP addresses, request headers and diagnostic information to deliver and protect the site. No Meta or LinkedIn advertising pixel is installed by the app.

Microphone and speech recognition

If you choose voice consent on a supported device, it listens briefly for a yes or no response. Your browser or operating system's speech service may process that audio, subject to its own settings and terms. The app does not save microphone recordings. Visible Play and Not now controls remain available.

Optional accounts and purchases

Where sign-in is available, Clerk and your chosen sign-in provider process account details. We may receive an account id, name, email address and profile image. Listening history and language preferences remain local; they do not sync with an account.

Where store purchases are available, Apple or Google handles payment details. Our service verifies the purchase and stores entitlement information linked to the device or account. We do not receive card details. Account and entitlement responses are not saved in the web offline cache.

Service providers

Providers may include Microsoft Azure for hosting and AI services, Cloudflare for delivery and storage, Google Maps for places, OpenStreetMap services for maps and routes, Wikimedia for factual sources, and configured search and speech providers. Place queries and source material may be sent to these services to prepare a story. Their own privacy terms also apply. The service does not send your listening-history list to a narration provider.

Retention and control

Listening history, preferences and any downloaded audio are stored on your device. Clear history in the app, clear browser site data, or remove the native app to remove local data. Cached public stories are shared across listeners and may remain on our service. Operational logs and aggregate records are retained as needed for security, reliability and product improvement.

To ask about access, correction or deletion of account data, email [email protected]. We may need to verify account ownership. Purchase records may need to be kept for legal and accounting duties.

Children

Digital Tourists Guide is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
