Shri Umiya Mataji Temple Modasa is a temple for Maa Umiya, and the wider tradition treats Umiya as a form of goddess Parvati. The temple’s most striking feature, from the description available, is its crowded sacred display: an idol of Maa Umiya stands with 20 other deities, and 650 statues have been erected from Mandovar to the summit of the temple.

A published page on the better-known Umiya Mataji Temple describes Umiya as especially important for the Kadva community, and says Navratri is the temple’s main festival. In that nine-day observance, the deity is decorated with flowers, prayers and Prasad are offered on the full-moon night, and a grand Mahotsava is celebrated every 100 years.
