Shri Govind Dev Ji Mandir stands inside Nidhivan, Vrindavan, in the Krishna-devotional landscape of the area, and the first thing to notice is its red sandstone facade with a raised plinth and marble altar.

This temple is dedicated to Govind Dev Ji, a form of Lord Krishna, and the one practical detail that matters if you are planning a visit is its daily opening pattern: 4:30 AM to 12:30 PM, then 5:30 to 9:00 PM.

A published page on Govind Dev Temple Vrindavan says the better-known temple of this name was built in 1590 by Raja Man Singh of Amber, with construction supervised by Shri Kalyandas Ji and the work paid for by Raja Man Singh. That same publication describes it as once a seven-storey structure, with only three storeys remaining after later damage. Another published page says the building was completed in 1590 in a haveli style, using red sandstone, and that the surviving form is truncated.
