The story of Rage Room Bangalore
Rage Room Bangalore is a break-room attraction in Bengaluru, and the most concrete thing to notice is how it packages release as an activity: you come in to break glass items, metal objects, plastic items, and more. Britannica? No—Indian Express describes Bengaluru’s first rage room as a place for catharsis, saying it was started by Ananya Shetty, a 23-year-old digital marketer from IIT Madras, and that she wanted to materialise the idea after looking for rage rooms in Bengaluru and not finding any. The same publication places it in Basavanagudi and says it opened on February 4.
The concept itself is broader than this room. The publication on Rage Room Bangalore says rage rooms, also called Anger Room, Destruction Room, and Smash Room, are used so people can let out frustration by breaking valuable items in safety. The site’s own page adds that guests gear up in safety equipment and enter a room full of breakables, using bats, crowbars, or hammers.
If you’re planning a visit, the current site lists Tuesday through Sunday from 11:00 AM to 10:30 PM, with Monday closed, while another page gives 11 AM to 9 PM. The location listed is 3rd floor, #23, CMH Road, Hari Prem Complex, above Ignite India, in front of Inflow House, behind Asha Sweets Center, about 2 mins by walk from Indiranagar metro station.
