This park stands by Mahadevapura lake, a waterbody that BBCP’s lake page places next to Outer Ring Road and says lies adjacent to Bagmane Tech Park. The same page says the lake was part of the Varthur lake series that drains southward to Doddanekundi lake.

What makes the place striking is the contrast between its present park use and the heavier lake-restoration story around it. For the lake itself, CDD India says that in 2016 BBMP built hydraulic structures to divert wastewater entering the lake. It also notes later work led by United Way of Bangalore, which brought in tech firms to fund a wastewater treatment plant, with CDD Society designing and implementing the solution. The broader BBMP lake page says the rejuvenation included desilting, a primary wastewater diversion channel, and creation and restoration of the bund.

If you are visiting, the practical hours are Monday to Sunday, 5:00 – 10:00 AM and 4:00 – 6:30 PM. Mahadevapura is a fast-growing BBMP zone, so this is a good place to look for the lake edge and the restored works around it.
